Thank you very much Sarah. I think it would be unprofessional in this forum to say exactly what I think of the epilepsy provision for the over-16s in Suffolk. Buck-passing would be a fair, even a charitable, description – though my own family is fortunate in that we have a very good GP.

I will definitely be contacting you for hadvice on how best to press for a better service for the young people of Suffolk!

As a young people’s epilepsy charity we are only too aware of the patchy nature of epilepsy services for under 25s, and for this reason we provide training for health and education professionals as well as campaigning for change through our Champions for Childhood Epilepsy Campaign. Her second job to explain why she is worth more to Suffolk County Council than the iconic Thorpeness windmill which has just ‘been declared surplus to the County Council’s requirements’. Currently on sale to anyone with a spare £150,000 in their pockets.

Absolutely agree. You get the transport that you deserve. If we don’t make a big noise about this we will get a crippled service that we can never set right.

Indeed. And its interesting to think how you can GET this work at this price. But as the Conservative Council Leader Jeremy Prembroke told the BBC: “In order to command the best you have to pay the best.”

Mmm. i thought that particular shoddy argument was well and truly exploded with the Fred the Shred debacle!
